About Beth

Beth Hird is a practicing professional painter who has exhibited her work nationally and has been teaching art to children and adults since 1986. Her work is included in the di Rosa Preserve, the Oakland Museum, Syntex Corporation and numerous private collections. She has taught at Merritt and Laney Colleges in the San Francisco Bay area. She holds a Master of Fine Arts from the San Francisco Art Institute and completed post graduate work at the Slade School of Fine Art in London. She was nominated for the 1997 SECA award for outstanding contemporary art.
