I began living on the island of Maui in early 2018. Each day I go into the ocean with a GoPro and take footage and photos of sea turtles, manta rays, dolphins, humpback whales, and other sea life, mostly in La Perouse Bay. I feel extraordinarily lucky to have the good fortune to witness the majesty and brilliance of the ocean and it’s creatures, and to then have the joy of creating paintings where I hope to transmit the beauty of the beings that dwell there. There is such an abundance of sea life, and each day’s adventure brings rewards and experiences unlike any other. I paint these watercolors and alcohol ink paintings from these direct experiences.

The sizes quoted are the original size of the painting, 18″ x 24″ but they can be printed in 8″ x 10″, 11″ x 14″, 16″ x 20″, 18″x 24″ sixes. Or bigger! Cost depends on size, please message me at Bethpaints at gmail dot com for prices. Hawaii state tax is 4% and shipping isn’t too expensive (but can take a while, coming from Hawaii, if you are on the mainland. Express shipping is available, too!).
